Adobe Premiere: New Color Experience
For decades Adobe Premiere users used a single Lumetri Panel for color grading, but now that changes. Color Mode is a first-of-its-kind, purpose-built color experience for video editors inside of Premiere (beta) and it's designed to be as fun as it is powerful.
My Role:
Led the Dynamic Feedback System (HUD Design). The behavior that surfaces the right scope, at the right moment, for every color tool.
Defined the framework. How every HUD is invoked, what scope it shows, how it behaves while live, and how it's sized, positioned, and customised.
Designed the look. The anatomy of each HUD, the tool-specific scope overlays, and details like the skin-tone indicator.
Took it to stage. Demoed the New Color Experience and its features at NAB Show, Las Vegas 2026, during the Beta launch.
Duration:
5 months with a phased approach
Phase 1 (Research and Foundation): 3 months
Phase 2 (Spec Delivery and Implementation): 1 month
Phase 3 (Testing and Dev Support): 1 month
Media:
The new color mode ended up winning awards at the NAB conference where it was first launched in public beta and was also featured at a lot of places here are some.
